RDOG is located at the Red Dog Mine in the DeLong Mountains in the remote western Brooks Range. RDOG is about 90 miles north of Kotzebue and 55 miles from the Chukchi Sea. Red Dog Mine staff have helped with logistics and troubleshooting at this site. RDOG is generously hosted by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
