During the week of September 12, 2022, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 796 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.6 that occurred on September 15 at 06:02:38 AKST (September 15, 14:02:38 UTC), 32 miles NE of Semisopochnoi Island. 

All other events greater than 3.5 occurred along the subduction zone except for a Magnitude 3.8 - 23 miles SE of Clear. Areas of ongoing seismicity include the Purcell Mountain, Kaktovic, offshore Kodiak, and Simeonof-Chignik zones. There were 40 icequakes recorded in Prince William Sound, Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve, Icy Bay,  Yakutat bay and Southwest of Juneau. 2 events were reported as felt.
