WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR OCTOBER 24, 2022 TO OCTOBER 30, 2022

During the week of October 24, 2022, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 928 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.9 that occurred on October 26 at 01:30:51 AKST (October 26, 09:30:51 UTC), 32 miles S of Sand Point.

There were two events greater than M3.5 that occurred outside the subduction zone, a M4.7 17 miles E of St. George on October 26th, 2022 08:25:28 AKDT and a M4.2 22 miles E of Sutton on October 30th, 08:48:19 AKDT. This earthquake was reported felt in the surrounding region. The only other earthquake reported as felt this week is a M4.9 32 miles S of Sand Point on October 26th, 2022 01:30:51 AKDT.
