WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR OCTOBER 31, 2022 TO NOVEMBER 6, 2022

During the week of October 31, 2022, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 907 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 5.1 that occurred on November 6 at 01:02:04 AKST (November 6, 10:02:04 UTC), 40 miles SE of Adak.

There were two events greater than M3.5 that occurred outside the subduction zone, a M4.1 4 miles S of Redoubt Volcano on October 30, 2022 20:02:17 AKDT and a M3.6 80 miles NW of Little Diomede on November 4th, 2022 20:31:43 AKDT.

The swarm SE of Atka Island has been decreasing this week.

Detected icequakes continue to decrease this week with 29 icequakes located in southcentral and southeast Alaska, including one event at Mt. Wrangell.

Four events were reported as felt ranging from M2.93 to M5.11.
