Matt's responsibilities include overseeing the Earthquake Center's complex near-real time seismic data acquisition and processing system, supervising the virtual computing cluster, and acting as the Center's primary ShakeMap operator. When the computers are behaving, he also helps develop, modify, and extend specialized seismic software for the Center. Matt, his wife Lea, and daughter enjoy the Alaskan summers by kayaking, biking, and camping whenever they get the chance.
