PS09 is located at Pump Station #9 of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System. This site is along the Richardson Highway south of Delta Junction, just past Fort Greely. PS09 sits in the relatively flat river valley of the Delta River, south of where it joins the Tanana River. This site is part of a long-standing monitoring system for the pipeline. The Earthquake Center operates this system in conjunction with the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.
