Site BE01 was installed by Earthquake Center and University of Alaska Anchorage College of Engineering staff in 2022. The sensor is owned by the University of Alaska Anchorage. We are interested in how the ground shaking response changes with permafrost degradation, and Bethel provides a valuable site for studying this. BE01 is located below the school, with the sensor connected to school internet. This site is generously hosted by our partners at Gladys Jung Elementary School.
