CCB is on top of Clear Creek Butte, about 13 miles south of Fairbanks. Installed in 1971 and modernized in 2009, CCB communicates with our lab using a radio shot to the roof of the Geophysical Institute. In 2018, the vault was replaced with a USArray-style borehole and new sensor.
