M26K is generously hosted by a private landowner at Devil's Mountain Lodge. The site is located on an in-holding in Wrangell - St. Elias National Park and Preserve. M26K is situated in a clearing in boreal forest in the foothills of the Wrangell - St. Elias Mountains. This site was acquired in 2019 under dedicated support from our partners at the U.S. Geological Survey to strengthen earthquake monitoring across southern Alaska. The site was originally installed as part of the USArray project.
