2023 M7.2 Sand Point Earthquake

 

Approximately three minutes after the main shock, there was a M5.7 aftershock located about 27 km north of the main shock. As of Sunday, July 16th, about two dozen aftershocks had been detected.
The U.S. Geological Survey forecasts a very high likelihood of aftershocks M4.0 or less in the coming year.
