Joanne is a member of the field team with a specialization in non-seismic instrumentation and data within the Alaska Geophysical Network. During the summer she travels across Alaska with her colleagues to repair, maintain, and install instrumentation in Earthquake Center’s network. Back in Fairbanks, Joanne works with non-seismic data (e.g. weather and soil temperature) collected by the center from across Alaska and helps make the data publicly available for cross-disciplinary research. In her spare time, Joanne enjoys skiing, running, curling, and spending time with her dogs.
