MONTH SEISMICITY REPORT FOR AUGUST 2025

During the month of August 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 2255 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 5.9 that occurred on August 28 at 03:07:47 AKST (August 28, 11:07:47 UTC), 19 miles NE of Semisopochnoi Island.
