Alexandra Farrell

Alex’s responsibilities include creating and modifying software that interfaces with the near-real time seismic system and its products. She also participates in the operations side of seismic research projects. Her Master’s work includes utilizing waveform attenuation and seismic velocity characteristics to determine the thickness and physical properties of the Altiplano-Puna Magma Body near Uturuncu Volcano, Bolivia. When not sitting at a computer, Alex enjoys day hikes with her dogs and rock climbing.
