Beth Grassi joined the Alaska Earthquake Center as a science communications specialist in October 2019. She writes for a variety of audiences, working with the outreach team to tell the stories of advances in earthquake science across Alaska. Prior to the Earthquake Center, she was a science writer for the EarthScope National Office. Outside of work, she enjoys fencing (yes, the kind with swords), birding, and exploring outdoors with her husband, Gary, and son.
