DCPH, south of Yakutat in the Deception Hills, is our only station in Glacier Bay National Park. This long-time station was first installed in 2002 as a stand-alone remote station. A wolverine has been sighted near the station by the field team, and bears have caused damage several times, including once ripping a solar panel off of the hut. This site is perched high on a ridge, and there have been lightning strikes at this station several times. In 2014 the U.S Coast Guard built an unstaffed remote station at this location. That same year the Earthquake Center removed our hut (including batteries), and the seismic station's power and communications are now supplied by the Coast Guard station.

This station is operated under dedicated support from NOAA.
