S15K is a strong-motion site at Chignik Lagoon. This site is surrounded by the Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge. S15K was acquired by the Alaska Earthquake Center in 2020 at the conclusion of the USArray project as part of our effort to provide statewide coverage. The National Tsunami Warning Center seismic site CHGN is nearby. S15K is generously hosted by private landowners at their bed and breakfast.
