2011 M5.2 Kantishna Earthquake

About 80 aftershocks were located in the first 24 hours after the M5.2 mainshock, with magnitudes as small as 0.4. The largest aftershock, M3.9, occurred about 21 hours after the mainshock. The area is instrumented with a dense array of high quality seismometers which allowed the Earthquake Center to detect and locate small aftershocks.
