FA02 is a Fairbanks Strong Motion Network station that is part of our effort to provide rapid measurements of strong shaking in the Fairbanks area. This site is generously hosted by our partners at the Ester Volunteer Fire Department on Old Nenana Highway. The sensor was upgraded in 2016. The fire station roof collapsed due to heavy snow load in April 2021. As a result, some equipment was removed between June and December 2021. The station was offline until December 2022 while building repairs were completed.
