MS02 was installed by Earthquake Center and University of Alaska Anchorage College of Engineering staff in 2021. It is part of our effort to provide rapid measurements of strong shaking in the Mat-Su region in response to the unexpectedly intense shaking there during the 2018 M7.1 Anchorage Earthquake. The sensor is owned by the University of Alaska Anchorage. This site is generously hosted by our partners at Houston High School, Houston.
