O19K is situated on undulating terrain a short walk from the airstrip in Port Alsworth. Located in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, this station sits in a flat stretch of boreal forest. This site was acquired in 2019 under dedicated support from our partners at the U.S. Geological Survey to strengthen earthquake monitoring across southern Alaska. The site was originally installed as part of the USArray project. O19K is generously hosted by our partners at the National Park Service.
