PPD is on top of Porcupine Dome, near the Pinnell Mountain Trail in the White Mountains. It was installed in 1990 and upgraded with broadband equipment in 2011. In 2016 the vault was replaced with a USArray-style borehole and new sensor. The station communicates with our lab using a radio shot to a Poker Flat Rocket Range satellite uplink in Fort Yukon. This site is generously hosted by our partners at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
