SPIA is on St. Paul Island, near an FAA radar facility. Installed in 2000 and upgraded with digital broadband equipment in 2012, SPIA is one of two seismic stations in the Pribilof Islands. This station is operated under dedicated support from our partners at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. SPIA is generously hosted by the Federal Aviation Administration and Tanadgusix Corporation.
