SSN is a solar-powered site on top of Mount Susitna, 33 miles northwest of Anchorage. The station was installed in 1972 and upgraded with digital broadband equipment in 2008. In 2015 the vault was replaced with a USArray-style borehole and new sensor. This site is generously hosted by our partners at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
