WAT7 was installed in 2013 as part of a network designed to monitor seismicity around the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project. It was upgraded with a borehole about 9 feet deep in 2021. The station is about 10 miles west of the proposed dam site. This site is generously hosted by our partners at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
