Gabriel Low
K-12 Outreach Specialist

Gabe is a passionate STEM educator whose role focuses on engaging students and teachers in earthquake-related learning all around Alaska. Alongside developing K-12 curriculum, providing teacher trainings, and conducting school outreach, he also leads the Alaska Seismology in Schools program. Gabe has led seismology and STEM engagement efforts around the world in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Panama, Texas, and Colombia, and now loves being based in Anchorage with his wife, Karen. When not working, he and Karen enjoy the outdoors through hiking, camping, and biking. They look forward each year to dancing salsa, eating buñuelos, and seeing close friends and family while visiting their second favorite place in the world, Colombia.
