Sarah Noel is a Ph.D. student working with Mike West and the Earthquake Center analyst team on real time earthquake detection applications. She aims to understand the current algorithms and explore possible improvements (including Machine Learning and better prediction algorithms) while prioritizing real world application and usability. Outside of research, Sarah enjoys cross country skiing, backpacking, and spending time with her pets.
