WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 5, 2024 TO FEBRUARY 11, 2024

During the week of February 5, 2024, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 754 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.4 that occurred on February 10 at 05:35:23 AKST (February 10, 14:35:23 UTC), 13 miles NW of Carlisle Island.

Another notable event this week was a magnitude 3.5 earthquake that occurred 23 miles W of Haines Junction on February 9, 2024 09:44:55 AKST. Additionally, we recorded 35 aftershocks of the January 19, 2024, M5.3 Salcha earthquake, ranging from M0.6 to 2.2.

There were 13 icequakes recorded in the Prince William Sound region.

4 events were reported as felt.
