WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR JUNE 30, 2025 TO JULY 6, 2025

During the week of June 30, 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 453 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.5 that occurred on July 5 at 10:15:07 AKDT (July 5, 18:15:07 UTC), 21 miles E of Iliamna Volcano. This event was felt in Anchorage, Homer, and surrounding areas.

There were 2 additional events reported as felt this week. First, a magnitude 3.9 earthquake 28 km SSE of Port Graham was felt in Homer on July 3 at 17:19:46 (UTC). Then a few hours later at 22:40:12 (UTC) a magnitude 4.4 earthquake occurred 25 km SW of Skwentna. This event was reported as felt in and around Anchorage.

Additionally, 8 icequakes were recorded this week near Juneau and Prince William Sound.
