WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR DECEMBER 1, 2025 TO DECEMBER 7, 2025
During the week of December 1, 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 1123 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 7.0 that occurred on December 6 at 11:41:51 AKDT (December 6, 20:41:51 UTC), 56 miles S of Burwash Landing.
During this week, there were approximately 500 aftershocks from the M7.0 Hubbard Glacier earthquake for two days since main shock on December 6th, ranging from 2.0 to 5.5 in magnitude. For more information on the main shock event, please see the significant event page here.
There were 14 events were reported as felt this week, and 7 of them were the aftershocks from the M7.0 earthquake.
