As is typical for intraslab earthquakes, this event did not produce a very vigorous aftershock sequence. The Alaska Earthquake Center located more than 3,000 aftershocks in the two years following the mainshock. Sixteen aftershocks were greater than M4. The largest aftershock, a M4.7, occurred four hours after the mainshock.
