WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR JUNE 19, 2023 TO JUNE 25, 2023
During the week of June 19, 2023, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 814 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.3 that occurred on June 23 at 22:27:36 AKDT (June 24, 06:27:36 UTC), 7 miles S of Little Sitkin Pass.
Some of the significant events include a magnitude 3.8 earthquake that occurred 17 miles NW of Talkeetna on June 21, 2023 06:26:08 AKDT, a magnitude 3.7 earthquake that occurred 23 miles SE of Talkeetna on June 22, 2023 11:50:19 AKDT, and a magnitude 3.6 earthquake that occurred 8 miles NW of Anchorage on June 24, 2023 13:24:47 AKDT. These three events are reported as felt widely in surrounding areas.
As another notable event, a magnitude 3.5 earthquake occurred 115 miles SW of St. Paul on June 24, 2023 23:45:56 AKDT.
