WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR APRIL 17, 2023 TO APRIL 23, 2023

During the week of April 17, 2023, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 856 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.7 that occurred on April 21 at 10:17:12 AKDT (April 21, 18:17:12 UTC), 6 miles W of Kasatochi Island.

Other notable event was a M4.6 16 miles 95 miles S of Mt. Sergief on April 22, 2023 04:54:53 AKDT.

There were 29 icequakes recorded in Mt. Wrangell, Prince William Sound, icy Bay and Yakutat region.

Two events were reported as felt.
