WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2023 TO NOVEMBER 12, 2023

During the week of November 6, 2023, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 709 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.6 that occurred on November 11 at 23:25:41 AKST (November 12, 08:25:41 UTC), 48 miles S of Akutan. This event was reported as being felt.

Some other significant events include a magnitude 4.5 earthquake that occurred 48 miles S of Akutan on November 11, 2023 20:50:33 AKST, a magnitude 3.9 earthquake that occurred 22 miles W of Denali Park on November 6, 2023 23:14:13 AKST, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake that occurred 28 miles W of Cantwell on November 9, 2023 10:57:00 AKST, and a magnitude 3.6 earthquake that occurred 80 miles SW of Point Hope on November 10, 2023 00:57:12 AKST.

There were 20 icequakes recorded near Prince William Sound and Yakutat Bay.
