Other notable events include two earthquakes that occurred northwest of Wasilla: A M4.0 on November 21 at 23:50:07 AKST and a M4.3 on November 22 at 16:36:42 AKST. Both events were felt widely in Anchorage, Wasilla and surrounding areas. We also located a M2.7 earthquake on November 27 at 10:56:33 AKST 6 miles SE of Ester, which was felt widely in Fairbanks, North Pole and Fort Wainwright.

We are still observing an increase in activity in the Purcell Mountains swarm with 41 events reported for this week with magnitudes mostly ranging between 1.0 - 2.0, with the largest earthquake of M2.5 recorded on November 25. There was also increase in activity north of the White Mountain in the Seward Peninsula region with 12 events reported during this week, with magnitudes ranging between 1.0-2.6. Observed activity under the Tanaga volcano in central Aleutians decreased this week with 12 shallow events, ranging in magnitude between 1.7-3.1.

There were 42 icequakes recorded in the southern and southeast Alaska including Prince William Sound, Icy Bay, and Yakutat Bay.  8 events were reported as felt with magnitudes ranging between M2.2 to M4.8.
