WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR APRIL 24, 2023 TO APRIL 30, 2023

During the week of April 24, 2023, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 908 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.8 that occurred on April 24 at 05:09:11 AKDT (April 24, 13:09:11 UTC), 102 miles SE of Perryville.

Other significant events include a magnitude 4.1 earthquake that occurred 24 miles W of Amchitka on April 24, 2023 08:51:42 AKDT, a magnitude 3.5 earthquake that occurred 14 miles NW of English Bay on April 24, 2023 19:38:15 AKDT which was reported as felt on the Kenai Peninsula , and a magnitude 3.5 earthquake that occurred 38 miles S of Tanana on April 26, 2023 01:26:09 AKDT.

There were 18 icequakes recorded near Prince William Sound and Icy Bay region.

One event was reported as felt.
